Finally you unit inventory is very small making it impossible to make specific squads for the different quests. The loading screens are extraordinarily long and you can’t collect multiple unit cards from your rewards at once making you select and collect each one one at a time. It’s impossible to get into an entire set of missions (some sort of treasure raid type quest, idk, I’ve never been able to get in). The game’s pause button is bugged and way to sensitive and seemingly randomly turns on. If that was all I’d have given this game 3-4 stars, as many “free,” games are like this, but the game also is extremely buggy and runs like garbage, like Ark survival evolved garbage. Then, maybe you clear one world then you’re stuck again and the cycle Repeats. None of the other game modes give you enough gold and your stuck until you throw some money at HIVE. The campaign gives enough gold to progress, but your opponent(AI) is so stupidly overpowered you can’t advance past world 8/9 and then you come to a grinding hault. Why is it bad? Zero support from the game. Worst still is that with release of this the app Wars 2 has been taken down. Prepare your wallet if you want to trek down the path of sorrow that is this app. It’s good to have verity but keep that good old feeling that made me exited to play to see what I might get.
If you want me to keep playing just make it a bit easier for people who don’t want to spend their money on or to sign up for a website. The game has such a cool and unique design but it just gets so tiresome to go out of your way and get the daly reward for nothing to change the game in a dramatic way at all and to get that big reward only for it to be the some old generic card that you can get so easy. The first thing that I noticed is that at the start of the game it has a easy pace to where you can get to level two or three but it really stops there if you don’t have a hive account or you don’t want to spend money it become really difficult to keep grinding to get a random card that is not unique, and it is disappointing to see the verities of cards that are so hard to get and that you may not get for as long as you don’t spend money on them. I’ve played these games for a while and with the “new” the app wars out for a year or two now, but it has had vary vary noticeable issues but it is worth a try and it is a unique and a dit different from the first two. Please, for the love of God, if you enjoyed any other the app wars game, even the slightest amount, DO NOT DOWNLOAD THIS GAME.
Honestly, I only rated it this high so you will see this comment and not make the same mistake I did. I've also figured out that it's the company "HIVE" that screws up these games and makes them "freemiums". I would rather play that than this shell of my childhood. The only thing that is different is the play style, and there's no chat. If you have ever played Summoner's War, it is SHOCKINGLY identical. Adds popping up in your face, loot crate system of getting cards, limited amounts of times you can fight, it's all just the largest disappointment I could have possibly imagined. It is just like every other "free" game out there these days. I'm telling you right now not to get it because it will ruin anything and everything you previously loved about this game franchise. It was so memorable on the app Wars 2 to save up your mana, summon the best troop and watch it murder everything. I saw the game before I read any reviews, and I was overjoyed that they made another addition to what used to be one of my favorite iOS games, maybe of all games. If you have played and thoroughly enjoyed the old the app wars, please, I know it may be tempting, but DO NOT DOWNLOAD THIS GAME.
